Jean J. Brown

Attorney Brown joined our plaintiff’s personal injury team of lawyers in 1999, bringing with her at that time more than ten years of experience as a zealous advocate for accident victims. She has extensive trial, settlement and appellate experience in a wide variety of personal injury and wrongful death cases, including complex and multi-district litigation. She was recognized as a Wisconsin Super Lawyer in 2011 in the area of Personal Injury Plaintiff: General, as published in Milwaukee Magazine, and is ranked “Excellent” in her field by Avvo’s lawyer rating service.

Jean graduated cum laude from Marquette University Law School in 1989. In addition to graduating in the top ten percent of her class, she received a number of academic awards and participated on the law school’s intramural and national moot court teams. She also graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986 where she studied Behavioral Science and Law and Criminal Justice.

Jean is admitted to practice in Wisconsin State and Federal District Courts, and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Waukesha County Bar Association and the Wisconsin Association for Justice (formerly Wisconsin Association of Trial Lawyers), and is a past board member of WATL and its Constitutional Challenge Committee, which was very active with respect to legislative tort reform adversely affecting personal injury victim’s rights.

Jean’s personal time is devoted to family life on a small hobby farm where she lives with her husband and their two children.
