Leonard A. Jastroch
As founding partner of the law firm, Attorney Jastroch manages the business activities of the firm as well as practices law in the areas of Real Estate, Business and Estate Planning. As a Milwaukee native and 1972 Marquette University Law School graduate, Len is well-versed on local issues as well as statewide concerns.
Len was admitted to the bar in 1973 with practice rights in the U.S. District Court (Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin), the U.S. Court of Appeals Seventh Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. Tax Court. He has gained additional experience and contributed as a member of the Milwaukee County, Waukesha County and American Bar Associations, the Wisconsin Bar Association Real Property and Litigation Sections, and served as Chairman of the Waukesha County Real Estate Section . Attorney Jastroch is also a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Attorney Jastroch has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” by Milwaukee Magazine.
Gerald L. LaBarge
Attorney LaBarge joined the firm as a partner in 1978. In his 20+ years as a Personal Injury Plaintiff’s Attorney, Jerry has sought to maximize Plaintiff’s awards through in-depth and creative approaches in presenting injury claims. As the senior member of our personal injury litigation team, Attorney LaBarge oversees the activities of two associate attorneys, each with considerable experience in Personal Injury Law.
Jerry was born and raised in Wisconsin and graduated from Marquette University Law School in 1974. He was admitted to the bar in 1975 and is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court (Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin), the U.S. Court of Appeals Seventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the Waukesha County Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Jerry encourages his children to enjoy and excel at music, athletics and education. He also likes golf, water sports, camping, and travelling with his wife and family.
Karen M. Appel
Attorney Appel joined the law firm as our primary Family Law practitioner in 1994. In addition to handling divorce and custody disputes, she also enjoys assisting clients in Social Security Disability claims when their benefits have been denied. In addition, her experience includes handling Probate and Real Estate matters.
Karen obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Madison in 1979. Thereafter she spent several years in Family Law and Probate for a Milwaukee firm and as a sole practitioner. Karen is a member of the Waukesha County Bar Association as well as the State Bar of Wisconsin.
Jean J. Brown
Attorney Brown joined our plaintiff’s personal injury team of lawyers in 1999, bringing with her at that time more than a decade of experience as a zealous and compassionate advocate for accident victims. She has extensive trial and settlement experience in a wide variety of personal injury and wrongful death cases, including complex and multi-district litigation.
Jean graduated cum laude from Marquette University Law School in 1989. In addition to graduating in the top ten percent of her class, she received numerous academic awards and participated on the law school’s intramural and national moot court teams. She also graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986 where she studied Behavioral Science and Law and Criminal Justice.
Jean is admitted to practice in Wisconsin State and Federal District Courts, and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Waukesha County Bar Association and the Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers. She is a current member of the Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers’ Constitutional Challenge Committee, which was very active in responding to legislative tort reform adversely affecting personal injury victim’s rights, and is a current WATL Board member.
Jean’s personal time is devoted to family life on a small hobby farm where she lives with her husband and their two children.
Lisa L. Holahan
Attorney Holahan concentrates the majority of her practice in the firm’s Family Law Department. She has focused her attention upon the many complexities of Family Law and has extensive litigation experience in custody/placement disputes, divorce, support related matters, termination of parental rights, and adoption.
Lisa is a Barrister Member of the Matrimonial Chapter of the American Inns of Court, Society of Family Lawyers, the Divorce Cooperation Institute, the Wisconsin Bar Association and the Waukesha County Bar Association. She obtained her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in Valparaiso, Indiana. Attorney Holahan is recognized as a Rising Star by Milwaukee Magazine in it’s Super Lawyer edition.
The majority of Lisa’s personal time is spent with her husband and two children.
Pamela W. Flores
Attorney Flores concentrates the majority of her practice in the areas of Business and Civil Litigation, Workers’ Compensation and Real Estate and Personal Injury matters. Milwaukee Magazine also recognized Attorney Flores as a Rising Star in it’s Super Lawyer edition.
Attorney Flores is a member of the American Bar Association, Wisconsin Bar Association and the Waukesha County Bar Association. She previously practiced with the law firm of Weigand & Levenson in New Orleans, Louisiana with an emphasis on Business Litigation. Attorney Flores is licensed to practice law in both Wisconsin and Louisiana. She was born and raised in Waukesha, Wisconsin and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and her law degree from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Robert G. Dowling
Though the newest member of our firm, Attorney Dowling possesses more than 30 years experience as a civil litigator. Beyond his extensive background representing clients in complex civil litigation matters, his appellate experience includes oral arguments before the Wisconsin Supreme Court (product liability, worker’s compensation and employment contracts) and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals (Medicaid eligibility class action and labor law), in addition to a number of appeals before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals.
Bob graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1975. He also graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee where he studied Mathematics. Bob was admitted to the bar in 1976 with practice rights in the U.S. District Court (Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin), the U.S. Court of Appeals Seventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
